The Lost Thing & Other Shorts
Half octopus, half rusty metal machine, The Lost Thing is the last thing our boy hero expects to find on the beach. When they’re finish playing for the day, where will the creature go home to? This Academy Award-winning short film is based on a book by Australian author and illustrator Shaun Tan and narrated by comedian Tim Minchin.
The film is accompanied by a collection of unusual animations for children who may have outgrown our Shorts for Wee Ones. Spark curiosity with The Boy and the Beast and I Am Round, which challenge us to think about real issues such as trying to fit in and what it feels like to have parents who are not getting on. Granny O’Grimm, meanwhile, puts the grim into Grimm’s fairytales with her take on Sleeping Beauty.
