Making Music at the Movies - Discovery Family Film Club

This seasons Discovery Family Film Club has been all about music. We've had live music, dancing, and now we're going to make our very own soundtracks right here in the cinema.

On Saturday 1st May, at 1pm we are screening some fantastic short films with great music. These include Bafta award winner The Happy Duckling  (made in Dundee!), Calum Noah - a film about the first ever sword dance, and Songs of Scotland  featuring weans favourite 'Ally Bally Bee'.  We'll be watching these films and then we'll have the chance to play along as well. You don't need to know how to make music or read music, Jordan Butler will lead the session and show us how to improvise with sounds.

Bring an instrument if you have one, or anything that makes an interesting sound, or come to the workshop before hand where we'll make some precussion instruments for you to play.

This session, Making Music at the Movies  is £2 for children, and will take place in the cinema at13.00 on Saturday 1st May.

Make Your Own Fun Instrument  is a FREE workshop at 12 noon in the Activity Room Saturday 1 May. This workshop is free with your cinema ticket, but places are limited so please book in advance.
