Live Lessons for Languages – French Short Films

Live Lessons for Languages is a unique event to inspire and engage your P7 - S2 French learners.

This year we have 3 short French films - funny, thoughtful, and historical - to bring language learning alive. The films are accompanied by a live language lesson in the cinema from a native French speaker trained in MIE and the Modern Language curriculum.

The event is supported with resources developed by Glasgow City Council Modern Languages Support & Development Team.

Live Lessons for Languages is a project being developed with Scottish Screen, Teaching Learning Scotland (TLS), and Discovery.

Places are limited. To book call: 01382 909 274.

The films:

Skhizein - 13 minutes

Having been struck by a 150 tonne meteorite, Henry has to adjust to living precisely 91cms from himself in this quirky animation.

L' occupant  - 14 minutes

Corsica 1942. Italian soldiers occupy the French island and members of the resistance fight on. Despite the risks, Pierre befriends an Italian soldier.

Arrosez Les Bien - 8 minutes
