The Railway Children

In this classic children's story, three sibling move to rural Yorkshire with their mum after their dad is wrongfully arrested for spying. It turns out not to be the quiet time they expected. There's a train wreck to prevent, a young schoolboy trapped in a tunnel who needs rescuing, and the kindly stationmaster to cheer up. The children love the adventures, and also do a lot of growing up....after all their dad is still under arrest, for a crime he didn't commit. Directed by the late Lionel Jeffries, this adaptation of E Nesbit’s much-loved novel is simply one of the best children’s film ever made in the UK.
