Teacher's CPDs
Discovery Film Festival offers a range of innovative and inspiring Curriculum for Excellence related CPD opportunities in partnership with DCC Education and other specialists.
Transferable skills
Film and literacy are central to each CPD session but the skills and resources provided will be applicable across a number of CfE subjects.
Open to all
CPD sessions are offered free of charge and are open to teachers and youth workers across Scotland with the exception of icananimate which is available to Dundee Authority staff only. You do not have to have booked a cinema or gallery visit to access these CPD opportunities. Refreshments will be provided.

Expressive Arts CPD: Art & Design Level 1 & 2 - Inspired by A Cat in Paris

Using clips and stills from A Cat in Paris, you will explore formal visual elements, techniques for colour mixing and leave with new skills and a set of activities for classroom use.
Literacy CPD: 21st Century Literacy & Short Film

ICT CPD: icananimate

CPD Teen Issues, Teen Dramas: Health & Wellbeing and Literacy

Working with four films selected from our programme, this CPD focuses on Health & Wellbeing and Literacy E&Os.
Booking CPDs
CPD places are limited; book in advance via Box Office on 01382 909900 (the icananimate CPD must be booked via Dundee CPDOnline). No-shows or cancellations on the day of the event will be charged a £20 fee.
