Lost and Found Teaching Resources
LOST AND FOUND TEACHING RESOURCES
Lost and Found is a magical tale of friendship and loneliness, based on the popular picture book by Oliver Jeffers, which tells the story of a little boy who one day finds a penguin on his doorstep.
The film, made by the animation production company Studio AKA, expands on what happens in the book so there are some extra exciting events and characters to look out for in the cinema.
RESOURCES: Here you'll find resources for using with the film, and the book, which are linked to CfE experiences and outcomes created by Gill Paton, Staff Tutor CFE (Literacy), at Dundee City Council Education Development Department.
DISCOVERY MORE: We've also suggested some useful websites which have lots of information about penguins. There is even a live Penguin-cam of the penguins at Edinburgh Zoo!
GLOW: You can also find these resources, a discussion forum, and area of pupils to upload writing inspired by Lost and Found on GLOW in the 21st Century Literacy group.
FEEDBACK: Pupils and teachers can also write to us here at the Discovery Film Festival by using our Feedback page and tell us about the film, their visit to the cinema or any other questions or comments.
