Our 2015 programme is here!

#DiscoveryFilmFest

28 September 2015

Here we are in our twelfth year of Discovery Film Festival with another outstanding selection of the best films for young audiences from all around the world. There’s also a dazzling exhibition of work by Japanese artist Hideyuki Katsumata in our Galleries and a packed programme of workshops and events for all the family too. Take a look at our programme online and get ready for the fun to begin, from Sat 24 October - Sun 8 November.

FILMS
From a super-tidy elephant to a fiendish video game that entraps everyone who plays it, there really is something for everyone at Discovery 2015. There’s a paper plane-making whizzkid in the Australian outback, German teenagers battling the authorities with their dazzling street dances, the laziest delivery man in outer space, plus an orchestra made up of recycled garbage instruments.

EXHIBITION
This year’s Discovery exhibitions sees our Galleries transformed into a dazzling psychedelic landscape featuring a giant mural, animations, drawings and prints. USO de HONTOU is by Japanese artist Hideyuki Katsumata and his dream-like exhibition is lots of fun for all ages. Experience it for yourself: entry is always free, open daily until Sun 15 November.

WORKSHOPS
As well as a fantastic selection of films for all ages and a colourful exhibition, we'll also be hosting a huge number of art workshops and drop-ins suitable for the whole family, including: Paper Planes, Manga Masterclass, Big Drawing, Film School taster, Drop in and Play and much, much more. Come along and join in the fun!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
