It's Not Me, I Swear! Director Q&A at Discovery

It's Not Me, I Swear  (C'est pas moi, je le jure!)  director Philippe Falardeau will be joining us for a Q&A after the UK premiere of his film on Saturday the 31st of October at the DCA. Quebec based Falardeau will be answering questions from Alice Black, our Head of Cinema, and you - the audience!

It's Not Me, I Swear!, which picked up the Crystal Bear Award at the Berlin film festival this year - a prestigious honour awarded by a youth jury -  is a black comedy about a 10-year-old boy with lots of issues and an overactive imagination. Leon has a tendency to almost kill himself, and his mother rescues him every time - whether it's falling from his treehouse, getting stuck in a freezer, or being hauled out of the pool - but when his mother trots off to Greece to start a new life, Leon must look after himself and find some new allies.

Falardeau's earlier work has also won plenty awards, La moitie gauche de frigo, won best feature at the Toronto Film Festival in 2000, and Congorama picked up a best screenplay award at the 2007 Genie Awards.

It's Not Me, I Swear! tells a story that will stay with you long after you leave the cinema, with great young actors, and a soundtrack to die for. We're proud to bring this unusual, funny and touching film to the DCA, and hope you enjoy meeting Phlippe Falardeau.

It's Not Me, I Swear!  Saturday 31st October, 6pm. DCA Cinema.
