Discovery wins prestigious youth Cinema Award

Discovery, alongside Filmhouse (Edinburgh), and Glasgow Film Theatre, has been awarded the prestigious Europa Cinemas Award for Best Young Audience Activities. The winners were selected from 1057 cinemas throughout the world for their collaborative work together as well as the individual projects run by each organisation.

Discovery Film Festival 2011 was a record year, with more people attending screenings and events than ever before. Throughout the rest of the year Discovery organises schools screenings and special events, as well as public screenings for young audiences as part of its Family Film Club.
